In terms of sub-section (6) of section 42 of the Act, the Commission may, from time to time, appoint or designate a person as the Ombudsman to discharge the functions in accordance with sub-section (7) of section 42 of the Act.

Shri Mohinder Pal Singh Wasal has been appointed as Electricity Ombudsman for redressal of grievances of consumers  for the State of Goa and Union  Territories.
